Hog prices on a carcass-weight basis — 3 major regions compared (monthly)
Monthly trend of each region's main pig price indicator (US and EU = hog prices; Mexico = carcass wholesale price). US daily prices are head-weighted into monthly values; EU weekly prices and Mexican prices by slaughterhouse are simple monthly averages.
* Reference points and calculation methods are not necessarily the same across regions, so comparing absolute levels directly is not recommended
USD/kg values are converted at each month's average exchange rate (EUR, MXN → USD).

EU hog prices (carcass-weight basis, weekly)
SEUROP is the EU's common carcass classification, with six classes in descending order of lean-meat percentage: S, E, U, R, O and P. This chart shows S (lean meat 60% or more) / E (55–60%) / R (45–50%). Piglets (about 25 kg) are traded per head (€/head).

Mexico hog prices — live hogs and carcass wholesale (by grade, monthly)
Monthly average prices at major rastros (slaughterhouses) across Mexico. Live hogs: price of live hogs delivered to the slaughterhouse (per kg live weight); Carcass wholesale: wholesale carcass price surveyed at the slaughterhouse (per kg carcass weight).
